On Sunday, September 28, we held the sixth edition of our Gourmet Hike.
The 10th anniversary of the inscription of the Houses, Hillsides, and Cellars of Champagne on the UNESCO World Heritage List was an opportunity for us to organize our gourmet hike through the vineyards of the Coteaux Sézannais. Our walkers were able to discover the villages of Vindey and Saudoy, as well as our Petite Cité de Caractère® (Small Town of Character), Sézanne, during a 12km loop.
The itinerary included various stops for tasting:
- Starter: a verrine of lentils with strawberries and strawberry vinegar by La Ferme des Onglées, served with a glass of Bertrand and Bernard Doyard Champagne or apple sparkling wine from Verger de l’Arly.
- The dish: a burger made by Le P’tit Farmer served with fries, accompanied by a glass of beer from Brasserie La Gaultoise or a glass of pear juice from Verger de l’Arly. Thank you to Gîte Fleur de Champagne for hosting us for this gourmet break.
- Dessert: a strawberry financier cake by La Ferme des Onglées.
- Coffee: provided by Les Arômes boutique in Sézanne.
A big thank you to our 65 participants and local producers!
