Chant’Morin

In the early 1990s, in the Petit Morin Valley—just a stone’s throw from Reims, Châlons-en-Champagne, and Paris—a few friends were renovating a barn in Bergères-sous-Montmirail. Among them were music enthusiasts and… singers. The Chant’Morin association was founded in 1996 to foster new projects and carry on the musical tradition of the Petit Morin Valley. The Festival Grange—a summer festival that’s rural, friendly, and absolutely brimming with song—was taking shape.

Here, there are no giant screens, no big tents, and no laser beams—just an intimate atmosphere, a sense of closeness, and emotion, featuring both up-and-coming artists and well-known performers in charming little venues throughout our region. That’s what makes the Grange Festival so famous.

Every year, from Sézanne to Montmirail, and from Bergères-sous-Montmirail to Sablonnières, the Petit Morin Valley will be heard far beyond the region.
